Sawx take a 2-0 lead against the Angels!(?)
Ok - I should confess that I turned the game off and went to sleep shortly after Vlad Guerrero's 2 run single in the 6th. I figured that the missed opportunities, bad baserunning, and sloppy play in the field of through the first 5 innings would add up to a Sox loss. I didn't think it would be possible for a comeback against Anaheim's bullpen at home. So imagine my surprise when I turned on SportsCenter while getting ready for work this morning and the score flashes by on the ticker. I'll say it again: I know nothing about baseball. However:
Pedro's line vs. my prediction yesterday:
Pedro actual: 7 IP, 6 H, 3 R (3 Earned), 2 BB, 6 K, 0 HR. Sox win 8-3.
My prediction: 7 IP, 5 H, 2 R (1 earned), 1 BB, 8 K, 1 HR. Sox win 6-3.
If only you could pick horses like you pick pitching lines.
And I can't believe you went to bed, you loser! I'm going to start calling you Denny Kelly. I stayed up until 2 and got up at 6:30, and now I'm paying the price like a true Sox fan.

Hey man, I was tired - Up at 5:40 sharp every morning - plus I played softball earlier in the evening (more on that in a later post)...i was exhausted. I'm an old man now. And a cranky one at that if I stay up till 2 and the Sox lose, which is what happened last season in Game 2 of the ALDS against Oakland, which, for the record, I stayed up for until the bitter end.
